dad Chris, my younger sister, Erica, and my 3 year old Golden Retriever
Chance. I work at the Sycamore Trails Aquatic Center as a lifeguard during the summer — I
would recommend life-guarding to anyone, as one of the best jobs for a
student! Right now I currently work at Starbucks, The Hamburger Wagon (which is literally a wagon like wheels and a place for a pony and everything except inside we have a giant pan to grill White-Castle-size burgers. I love it!), and I also sell Mary Kay! I graduated from Dayton Christian High School this spring
after fourteen years (including pre-k and Kindergarten :)). My mom
graduated from there as well in 1980, and my younger sister, Erica,
will graduate in 2011. I have always been a very good student,
participating in the high school productions and junior high
productions since fifth grade. My senior year I had the opportunity to
choreograph our musical, “Meet Me in St. Louis”, which was the best
opportunity I could have asked for, even though I was not thrilled at
the beginning — being behind the scenes instead of my normal on-stage
part. I would normally be attending college this upcoming fall, but my
senior year made my mind up for me to take a year off (I had the idea
of taking a Gap Year when I read it in a college magazine my sophomore
year) when my best friend was killed in a car accident on October 5,
2007. The struggle to deal with such a loss has been an unimaginable
journey, but God has constantly been bringing people into my life, and
providing me with opportunities to serve Him and find joy in darkness.
I currently attend the Gathering Community Church which is a split off
of Far Hills Community Church. I accepted Christ at Far Hills in 1994
and was baptized in 2000. I have enjoyed years of friends, retreats,
and missions trips (some of which consisted of outhouses, fleas, and
kicking horses)none of which I would trade. :)I look forward to all
kinds of missions trips and what God has in store for me in the future
— especially this winter! I plan to go to University of Evansville in the Fall of 2009 where I have been accepted and they are holding all my information, so all I have to do this spring is mail in my room and board stuff!! I will be studying pre-med (technically neuroscience) with the ultimate goal of becoming an Emergency Room Doctor!!
